1. Information We Collect
Account Information. When you create a TweetGoat account, we collect your name, email address, and X/Twitter profile information (handle, bio, follower count). If you sign up via OAuth, we receive basic profile data from X.
Website & Brand Data. When you enter your website URL or brand description, we scan publicly available content to generate your brand intelligence profile and content strategy. This data is used solely to personalise your experience.
Usage Data. We collect information about how you interact with TweetGoat — pages visited, features used, content generated, tweets scheduled, and engagement analytics viewed.
Payment Information. If you subscribe to a paid plan, payment processing is handled by Stripe. We do not store your full credit card number. We receive transaction confirmations and billing details (last 4 digits, expiry, billing address).
Cookies & Analytics. We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We use privacy-respecting analytics (no cross-site tracking) to understand product usage and improve the service.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
• Provide, maintain, and improve TweetGoat's services
• Generate personalised content strategies and AI-written tweets based on your brand profile
• Send you product updates, tips, and marketing communications (with your consent)
• Process payments and manage your subscription
• Analyse usage patterns to improve product features
• Prevent fraud and abuse of the platform
We do NOT sell your personal data to third parties. We do NOT use your content or brand data to train AI models for other users.
3. Data Sharing
We share your data only in these circumstances:
• Service Providers. We work with trusted third-party providers (hosting, payment processing, email delivery) who process data on our behalf under strict data protection agreements.
• X/Twitter API. When you connect your X account and schedule/publish tweets, content is shared with X via their API. X's own privacy policy governs how they handle that data.
• Legal Requirements. We may disclose data if required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request.
• Business Transfers. In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your data may be transferred as part of that transaction.
4. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are legally required to retain it.
Generated content (tweets, strategies, analytics snapshots) is deleted when you delete your account. Aggregated, anonymised usage data may be retained indefinitely for product improvement purposes.
5. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
• Access your personal data
• Correct inaccurate data
• Delete your account and personal data
• Export your data in a portable format
• Opt out of marketing communications
• Restrict certain processing activities
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@tweetgoat.com.
6. Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit (TLS 1.3), encryption at rest, secure authentication, and regular security audits. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure.
7. Children's Privacy
TweetGoat is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with data, contact us and we will delete it promptly.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or a prominent notice on our website. Continued use of TweetGoat after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
